"Day trip to l'Escarene" L'Escarène by Flying.Scotsman

If you are looking for excitement, I suggest yhat you give l'Escarene a wide berth. There are several cafés and pubs, but only one of these seemed to be open when we visited. I would guess that it gets busier later in the season, but we rather liked it quiet.

We spent hours wandering about the narrow streets, some of them completely covered, and stone bridges. This is a photographer's and artist's dream. If you don't have time to spend a lot of time here, I would certainly advise motorists to stop for a coffee break and a walk through the town. This is a good example of a town off the tourist map that is still very beautiful.
