That's the best way to describe the views that you will see here along the Apache Trail - the great thing about it is that it is so close to Phoenix, just 40 miles east of Phoenix. The trail itself has been named Highway AZ-88, and it is probably one of the most scenic drives in the USA.

Just take HWY 60 east to Iron Road - maybe take some brochures from the Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce (put 567 W Apache Trail, Apache Junction on your GPS), and then start enjoying the magnificent views!

UPDATE

VT member Bahador Alast visited Arizona this March 2013, and we went on the 10th on the Apache Trail. I made a great video of our day on this amazingly scenic location. It had rained the day before & the place was so nice and cool, with a nice patch of clouds over Superstition Mountains. Hope you like this video:

    The Steamboat Cruise sounds wonderful with much nature to see. The Ghost Town sounds like a hoot. So much to see and do in your area.
