I must say this place exceeded my expectations! I thought it was just an ordinary thermal pool and I would just wade around...but it was something else! Steam was leaving the bluish water, giving an eerie atmosphere (sort of like Lord of the Rings).

I just floated on my back with my ears listening for elves and I did hear some eerie sounds (early signs of schizophrenia? hehehe). Then, as I was looking up, a flock of birds flew over the pool and I think the blue waters reflected on them giving them the same light bluish transluscent blue on the birds (much like in that recent Journey to the Center of the Earth movie with Brandon Fraser)...It was surreal...

This famous spa is located in a lava field in Grindavík on the Reykjanes Peninsula, southwestern Iceland...and it was amazing going there because it was out of this world to see the moss-covered lava all around...

Hi, Bro... Iceland looks awesome! Now you're making me get itchy feet! I know you'll have a great time in Puerto Rico. We're going to Lake Shasta on Monday to stay on a friend's houseboat. Wish us warm weather!
