Most tourists going to the Mekong Delta for a day are brought here to My Tho, the gateway for the Mekong. Founded in the 1680's by Chinese refugees, the city is now inhabited by local Vietnamese benefitting from the local tourism.
You can stroll along the riverfront and watch time pass by the Mekong....
