Tokyo is a big city. And that is just what one experiences when coming to Tokyo. The numerous people walking by, the cars on the busy roads and the skyscrapers, it is all big. But if you are here for a while you will find some hidden gems and forget all around you.

Meeting a VT friend
We started our 2001 Japan tour in Tokyo, where we stayed for three nights. One of these days it was Tomīs birthday and we had a wonderfull dinner with Yuichi (Sakuzan on VT).
We learned a lot about Japan , the Japanese people and the habits in this great country from Yuichi. It was a birthday Tom will not lightly forget. |

In 2003 we met Yuichi again. He and his girlfriend Yuko picked us up at our hotel and showed us around for the entire afternoon. We went to the university, the ueno park, some special shopping streets and the newest skyscrapers.
