We visited Botswana in july / august 1998 while on a organized trip from Johannesburg to Cape Town. This trip was taking us through Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and ofcourse South Africa. We enjoyed it so much that we went back the next year and visited Zimbabwe and Botswana again on a organized camping trip.
Please also visit our travelogues: Okavango Delta, a river delta that ends in the desert and not in the sea. You can make trips in a mokoro (hollow treetrunk). But don't expect to keep dry. We sank two mokoro before we got a good one and made it to the island we camped on....
Moremi, a gamepark in the Okavango Delta area, north east Botswana. We camped in the middle of the gamepark at a campside without fences.
Chobe, a national park along the banks of the Chobe river. Many elephants (and other wildlife) come here to drink. Make a sunset cruise on the Chobe river and enjoy.
