"Nothing to see and nothing to do........" Noordeinde by tompt
Noordeinde Travel Guide: 11 reviews and 37 photos
Noordeinde, in the Netherlands is the place where we live. It is a very small village as you can see on our homepage. It is part of the municipality Nieuwkoop. Nieuwkoop is a combination of the former municipalities: Nieuwkoop, Ter Aar and Liemeer. Liemeer existed only 15 for years and was a combination of Nieuwveen and Zevenhoven. In total there are about 27000 people living in Nieuwkoop in many small villages like ours. It is located in the middle of the Randstad the business part of Holland. But it is in the green hart, which means the green is more important than the buildings. Therefor it will not grow in the near future.
Noordeinde is a village with 7 streets, no shops, no restaurants, no bars, but some great people living here ;-)
The picture on our homepage shows it is not easy to find Noordeinde. With signpost pointing the wrong way and no distance stated.
But you can also approach from the other side and see this signpost.
It translates: left to Noordeinde, and straight for all other directions.
Does that mean we are in a somewhat strange place?
We let you decide .....
And if you found us, let us hope the sun is shining, so we can enjoy a drink and a bbq in our garden !
But please call ahead, because we travel a lot ,-)
- Pros:everybody knows everybody
- Cons:everybody knows everybody
- In a nutshell:Small village life in a big city environment

Thanks for sharing your village with us.
No shops!!! My village has - oh 20 shops! And eleven takeway places. We must be too lazy to cook here.
Lovely description of your village, Tom.
Your home village looks like a lovely place to live. I'm glad to hear there are lots of good bicycle paths.
So, how far do you have to travel for your beer?? I much prefer small places, hate crowds!!!
You live among lovely surroundings and home is where the heart is. Oh come on, you have some neat things to do, but at least your getting out and exploring.....I mean WOW! You do not let too much grass grow under your feet:-) Many happy trails!!
Love your humourous way of describing your home town. :)
Happy birthday! best wishes from Sofia, Bulgaria
Ha! Your restaurant tip made me laugh!
I can see why you travel alot! The garden could get tiresome... but then if your drinking my beer in your garden it can't be all that bad! :o) Greetings from the second most remote capital city in the world!
