Behind the Sagadra Familia is this playground. Men from Barcelona meet eachother here for a friendly game. It is nice to see.

Just looking at the public can be nice too! People from Barcelona seem to be very photogenic. Wonder if they are used to being photographed by the many tourists here.

If you are luckely you can go to the roof of your hotel and have a view like this. In the middle is the cathedral and left from the cathedral further away you can see the towers of the Sagrada Familia. Ofcourse you can also go up the tower of the Sagadra Familia to get a view, or take the gondola up the Mont Juich. Tibidabo offers a great view too.

Casa Batlló is the house of Josep Batlló i Casaanovas that was restyled by Gaudi in 1904-1906. The facade is very striking, but also take a look inside. More pictures can be seen in our travelogues with Gaudi creations. Adress: No. 43 Passeig de Gràcia

At the Pl. de Sant Just, in front of the St Just i Pastor church, in the Gotic Quarter you will find a lovely fountain. Three heads deliver the water.

This romanesque gothic church was built in 1342, but work on it continued into the 16th century. Above the entrance portal, an enthroned Virgin is flanked by a pair of protective angels. The Latin inscription hails her as Virgo Nigra et Pulchra, Nostra Patrona Pia (Black and Beautiful Virgin, Our Holy Patroness). There is a single nave with the chapels. Doors are usaually closed expect for Sunday Mass, we were lucky there was a marriage planned and we could enter. It is one of the oldest churches in Barcelona and is dedicated to the two martyrs, Just and Pastor. Address: Pl. de Sant Just, 5 in the Gothic Quarter.
