Tour the Flanders Fields. This is the place where the big battles of the first world war were fought. The war was at its worst in the neighbourhood of Ieper. Filipdebont was so kind to show us around.

The Flemish Ardennes are found in the province of Oost Vlaanderen. The hills come out of nothing, and are sometimes very steep. The cobblestone roads are a torture for cyclist, yet it is a very populair cycling area.
The city of Oudenaarde, the centre of the region is also a nice city to visit. The town hall, St Walburga church, just a few of the highlights.
