        <b>Top Ten Life Lessons</b>--a work in progress

<b>1.</b>   Life is not fair. The sooner you realize that this is true, the sooner you will be able to recover from the setbacks.

<b>2.</b>   It doesn't matter what other people think, except for sometimes.

<b>3.</b>   Recognize opportunity, and when it is evident, sieze it with your heart, mind, and soul. If you do less than that, then you are not taking full advantage of that opportunity.</i>

<b>4.</b>   Everybody makes mistakes. If it's yours, learn from it. If it's someone else's, it's there's; don't dwell on it for them.

<b>5.</b>   Food brings people together.

<b>6.</b>   If you can learn to laugh at yourself, then you will never be without a sense of humor.

<b>7.</b>   Learn (and live by) all the rules so that you can choose when the appropriate time is for breaking them.

<b>8.</b>   The more languages you learn, the more perspectives you have of the world.

<b>9.</b>   Life is short. Play hard.

<b>10.</b>   Truisms such as these are subject to change as you mature.
