The annual procession of images of The Virgin Mary is held every 1st Sunday of December in Intramuros.
This tradition was only begun in 1980, when the most beautiful statues of Mary from all over the country were taken in procession through the streets of Intramuros
In honor of the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mother, thousands of devout Catholics join a grand procession in which more than 100 images and statues of the Blessed Virgin are paraded through the streets of Old Manila
Where: Intramuros. The parade starts in front of the Manila Cathedral and finds its way inside the small streets of the walled city. Be there at around 5 pm. The parade last for several hours
When: Every first Sunday of December.
