Laguna Province

Laguna is a province rich in natural resources - beautiful mountains, waterfalls, hot springs, rainforest, fruit and crop plantation and exotic flowers. All the towns and cities in the province are blessed with attractive natural formations sought by tourists, and/or natural resources that account for its bountiful harvest of crops and ornamental plants.

Laguna is comprised of 3 cities namely Calamba, San Pablo & Sta. Rosa, and 27 municipalities namely Alaminos, Bay, Biñan, Cabuyao, Calauan, Cavinti, Famy, Kalayaan, Liliw, Los Baños, Luisiana, Lumban, Mabitac, Magdalena, Majayjay, Nagcarlan, Paete, Pagsanjan, Pakil, Pangil, Pila, Rizal, San Pedro, Sta. Cruz, Sta. Maria, Siniloan and Victoria.

Heritage Houses Still Exist in Laguna

Heritage houses of prominent families are a common sight in Laguna, most especially in the quaint town of Pila where ancestral homes with Spanish and American architectural designs still stand. Pila can be likened to Vigan, declared by UNESCO as a heritage site in Ilocos Sur.
Many period movies have been shot in Pila.

Laguna, Bulwark of Christianity

Many Filipino families go to Laguna for their Lenten Visita Iglesia. Most of the towns still have churches with well-preserved Baroque architectural designs. San Pedro de Alcantara Church in Pakil is one of the most beautiful old churches, and was selected to be featured in "Living Asia". Its antique structure stands magnificent amid Laguna's mountain range and developing town.
