Rizal Province is famous for centuries-old churches that have withstood the ravages of war and natural calamities. Many of these are pilgrimage churches where Catholic Filipinos go for their devotions and Visita Iglesia. Even during ordinary days when there is no mass, people flock to the churches to pray.

Rizal is very rich in natural resources, with its verdant mountains and plains and the Laguna Lake. Even a joy ride at its national highway can whet the tourists' hunger for beautiful sceneries- the lakeshore, mountains and fields. Mountaineers, local & foreign tourists most especially like to go to the mountains to see its rainforests and waterfalls; favorites are Daranak & Batlag Waterfalls. Another popular waterfall is Hinulugang Taktak, for which a folk song was composed. Many environmentalists are fighting for its rehabilitation & protection from pollution.

The Assumption Sisters' Convent started an advocacy to promote ecodiversity. It maintains PACEM EcoPark, a complex that includes a Butterfly Sanctuary, Mini-Zoo, Shell Museum and Botanical Garden. Many schools all over Luzon bring their students there for field trips. Environmentalists and photographers are also attracted to the place.
