My husband is a horse trainer, busy and focused on his craft. Vacations for us have involved horses; hauling horses (24 hour drives), horse shows and horse sales. So, what a treat to go on a real vacation together to Ireland where he could enjoy his passion! We spent a day and a half of our trip at the Farm where we knew one of the interns.

Their stalls are being cleaned and they wait patiently. The straw bedding that they use at the Farm is easily 4 feet deep! Each mare and colt gets 8-10 hours outside each day for exercise. What a life!

Pros and Cons

Pros:If you are a horse lover, you'll be in heaven!
Cons:If you are not a horse lover, you'll not enjoy yourself QUITE so much...
In a nutshell:I needed to wander on my own to discover more about the history of the area beyond the Farm
