Emerald Isle

Our first visit to Ireland was amazing. We began in and ended in Dublin and learned quickly that it is charming. But one hour south is a magical holy land. We loved Glendoughloch.

St Kevin's Home

We'd never heard of this Saint, but since we are neither Irish nor Catholic, we were not surprised. However, many America Irish Catholics also are unaware of St. Kevin. His presence in this area is well known and his pious nature respected.

The Sally Gap

I would love to return to hike the Wicklow Trail. It begins near Dublin and goes through Glendalough. I walked a bit of it one morning from our B & B near Glendalough and it was lovely. Varied terrain and excellent wildlife, though I longed to hear a Cuckoo. Perhaps next time...
