I've lived here now for 17 years . . . I was very glad to be able to come here and experience the City . . . and, I'll be very glad to leave here in a few years when I retire.
I'm not going to be able to tell you everything you need to know about the City -- but, I'll have a few tips which may be helpful . . . and which I'll try to update from time to time.
One thing is that I suggest you visit www.nycvisit.com for information about current goings-on.
Second thing, if you're a smoker, I strongly urge you to bring your own supply of your favorite cigarettes. National brands are now $5.50 or more/pack in regular retail outlets . . . and if our State/City legislators have their way, that could soon by $7.00/pack or more. (I won't even speculate on what they do/will cost in places like hotels, bars, clubs, etc.) |
