If you are looking at getting away from the tiny rooms that most hotels have to offer in Japan, you should check out Hotel New Yokosuka. A little more pricey than other hotels in the area but you get what you pay for. Make sure you don't confuse this hotel with Hotel Yokosuka which has the tiny rooms that you might be trying to avoid.

Unique Qualities: Not unique to most hotels, but it was hard for me to find a hotel in Yokosuka that served a free breakfast; Hotel New Yokosuka has it!

Central Hotel: Business-Style Hotel Central Hotel Review

I had a nice stay in Central Hotel. Situated right in the heart of downtown Yokosuka it is overlooked by many foreigners which in my case was a plus. Hotel staff can speak basic English. The rooms are in typical Japanese fashion, very small, but if you're like me you don't spend much time in your room anyway.

Unique Qualities: There is a wonderful Japanese buffet on the 9th floor of Central Hotel.

Comparison: less expensive than average

Directions: It's about a 1 minute walk from the main exit of Yokosuka-Chuo train station.
