Restaurant Name: Pancake Bakery

The pancakes are large and crepe-like! My husband doesn't usually like pancakes or Greek food so he was going to sit it out while I ate my Greek pancake but he tried one bite and ended up eating half of my pancake both times we visited the restaurant! You can sit inside or out. And the experience was just as good the second time!

Favorite Dish: Liked the Greek Pancake because the lamb was seasoned nicely and there was a good sauce. The feta cheese was mild. and the pancake base lite and fluffy. Lots of veggies, meat and cheese made this perfect for brunch in between the Anne Frank museum (Also great. Don't miss the film and questions at the end of the tour) and a long walk through Jordan and down to Vondel Park.

Restaurant Name: Motimahjal

Wonderful both visits. An average sized restaurant with carved wooden chairs. On our first night they had about four or five tables occupied and the second night about twenty Indian dinners (I mention this just to emphasize that even the Indians frequent this restaurant!) arrived at the same time to eat. Both times the service was fast and friendly and the food quality was the same. If noting the price below figure that the Euro was 1.57 to the dollar.

Favorite Dish: My husband had the Chicken and the Lamb Saag. And RAVED about both. I had a Chicken dish with tomatoes, peppers, ginger (sorry can't remember the name). Dishes are served in soup bowl sized copper pots and then a seasoned rice is served on the side. Chutney, raita, savories and breads are all a la carte orders. Nice Mango Lassie. They serve Cobra beer. The chicken, tomato, pepper, ginger, garlic etc, dish I ordered had the unique and proper blend of flavors a dish of this sort is expected to have not sweet, not tangy, not sour but in a flavor classification all of it's own. Mango Lassie had cardamon and pistachio, which brought out the flavor of the mango. Naan was light and puffy - hot out of the oven!
