Palaces And Parks And Vineyards
Pillnitz is famous for its two palaces in oriental style, the Bergpalais (above) and the Wasserpalais right on the edge of the river bank (left) that a Saxonian prince had built 3 centuries ago, and the surrounding park.
A short walk uphill from the park you reach the vineyards. A footpath along their top side offers a wide view of the Elbe valley, the southeastern suburbs of Dresden and the surrounding hills.
