"A Wombat in Plauen" Plauen by Russell_the_Wombat

Judging from the fact that just about everyone I met considered me a beaver (hey do I have a big flat tail??), I am probably the first wombat who ever visited Plauen. There were not many human visitors either, although this little city has a lot to offer.

We explored the town on paws and by tram, and visited a couple of museums. So I learned a lot about the city and its history and the habits of its inhabitants.

Plauen's fame is all about the making of lace. You know, that kind of fabric that consists of holes sewn together. In a manufacture which is now a museum we were shown how lace-making works. Those big machines were impressive.
