"A Wombat in Bad Bergzabern" Bad Bergzabern by Russell_the_Wombat

Bad Bergzabern Travel Guide: 8 reviews and 78 photos

It has been three years today since I moved into my new burrow in Karlsruhe. In those years I have been around quite a lot, but there are still many places to discover in our surroundings. The sunny weather invited us to hop over the Rhine and explore a bit of the Pfalz that both of us had not yet seen.

Bad Bergzabern is a tiny town at the foot of the Palatinate Forest. In former times some Princes used it as their residence and built this nice palace as their burrow. The adjacent old town is quite small but has some pretty lanes like the one in the photo above.

It was Easter Monday so the place was buzzing with human daytrippers. We did not see any other wombats, although this would be a great place to live. There are green lawns with tasty grass in the Kurpark, and several cafes with even yummier icecream and cakes around.
