"A Wombat in Bautzen" Bautzen by Russell_the_Wombat

Mommy had visited Bautzen before but I had not, so I asked her to go again and take me. We combined the visit to Bautzen with Herrnhut and Löbau, so we did not have much daylight time, but anyway - I got to see a bit of the old town. We did not make it down to the castle and the towers and fortifications, though. We were too tired and cold to do more walking, and night was falling quickly.

From the station we walked into town to see the Christmas market. We both felt like having a nice hot Glühwein. Clearing sidewalks seems to be unknown, just like in Görlitz, hence walking was hard. Even in front of the police station the sidewalk was covered ankle-deep in snow!! (The depth of Mommy's ankles, not mine.)

We then explored the old town streets around the market square, town hall and cathedral. King Kong was there, too.
