Rome has so much to see it is impossible to fit everything in. What I advise is make yourself a list of must-see's, using VT tips of course but I also used a great little guidebook, the DK Eyewitness Top 10 Travel Guide ROME. It has top ten highlights, then top 10 features at each highlight. Top 10 art masterpieces, chuches, piazza's etc. The book was pocket sized and I carried it all around and found it invaluable. I had recently read Dan Brown's book "Angels and Demons" so I wanted to have a look at churches, art, sculptures that he made reference to in the book. It just made it really interesting and now I'm gonna read the book again because I can picture in my mind where everything is as I read it. |
