I just had the pleasure to live in this city for 2 months and I loved it! At first I thought Skopje was very ugly with all these terrible beton buildings, but as the weather got friendlier and the city more lively, I liked it more and more. Skopje has a beautiful mountain surrounding, a vast square, a beautiful old town, colourful bazars and many nice cafés and restaurants. But what actually made this experience so special was the people!! I've found many new friends here, also some VT and Hospitality Club members (THANK YOU Bojan, Maria, Makedonka and Stela! ). |

| | In the summer Skopje is very hot. It's situated in a valley, so you can hardly breathe because there's no air circulation. So, on the weekends everybody flees to Ohrid or the countryside, or even the Greek seaside. Ohrid can become incredibly crowded in July and August ... |

| Pros: | "Great city once you get to know it!" | | Cons: | "Too much beton!" | | In A Nutshell: | "Give Skopje a chance, you will have a good time!" |
