I had the great opportunity of making a trip to California in winter 2000/01. I was actually touring with the "Diversity Dance Workshop" (and even dancing myself sometimes), a group of Bahá'i youth from all sorts of places in the "Bay Area" all around San Francisco. We were doing different dances on issues like drug abuse, racism, the equality of men and women and of course the beauty of cultural diversity for the kids in schools and "Boys and Girls Clubs", often in very Ghetto-like places - it was a great way to do some service and of course visit many different places, meet local people, get to know the culture and all those things tourists are into... hope you like my page! |
