The Moldovita monastery (fully active, run by nuns) is one of the best preserved in Southern Bucovina, the fortifications with the walls, the monastery buildings and the church are still today looking as they looked half a millennium ago.

The most famous of these monasteries does not exist in VT database. The fortifications are partly destroyed but the paintings are the most important ones of all these monasteries,

Unfortunately, the Romanian monasteries are not known enough, but Bucovina really worths a visit!
