After The Big AUSTRALIA Meet in Brisbane this was the next part of the VT meet planned was to be held in Airlie Beach in northern Queensland. A Virgin Airways flight to Proserpine and then limousines saw us all arrive at our accomodation in Airlie Beach...pretty flash with onboard champagne... so after a drive up from Proserpine in the limousine, we were all ready for the partying to begin again at this part of the Queensland VT meet at Airlie Beach before going on to Hamilton Island..

This Certainly was the perfect location for this wonderful VT get togeather and my first BIG VT meet, I had previously been to other smaller meetings in Sydney but this was huge with VT members coming to Australia from all over the world..Here we all were in Airlie Beach the stepping stone to the amazing wonder of the Barrier Reef , and also a stopover in Hamilton Island in The Whitsunday Islands for our next part of the Meet that some of us chose to do...This surely is a true Paradise to visit and enjoy..

OUT ON THE REEF FOR VARIOUS AQUATIC ACTIVITIES

Airlie Beach is one of the so many wonderful beach holiday spots in this part of northern Queensland and is surely one of the nicest..with the Barrier Reef just off shore the different activity possibilities here are limitless..We were many and the organised events were well thought out and most enjoyable ..with most VT'ers participating in days out in yachts to the reef and various diving and snorkelling activites taking place...it was a busy schedule with constant food and refreshments that were taking their toll on the people involved everyone was in "full on " party mode. The aquatic scenery was out of this world with so many variations of blues and greens the amazing blend of the colours having to be seen to be beleived..
