DUBLIN

The River Liffey
I visited Dublin in September 2002 for the first time. Despite living so close to Ireland this was the first time I had ventured over the Irish Sea. I really hadn't heard much about the city at all, aside from its reputation for nightlife, but I was pleasantly surprised and had a great stay. So good that I was determined to go back some day and have now been a further two times - in August 2004 and most recently October 2006.

Dublin is a lively city with so much to see and do - or of course you could always just relax in one of the many pubs and enjoy the craic!

What a wonderful page about Dublin. I'm still smiling about the statue called "hags with bags"! Shakespeare Play & writer's museum really appeals to me. Loved tip about "colorful city;great photos. Surprised that "booze" is expensive here. Excellent work.

I loved Dublin and loved your pages. Spent hours in St Stephens Green...great park! Wished I'd seen more of this lovely city. Thanks for sharing...
