This page is partly centred on my "backpacking" trip to Europe in 1996, kind of a background & overview to our journey & route with some anicdotes of where it all went wrong! And believe you me, it had its moments!!! All that is in the general tips. I have individual pages for the cities we stayed in with more info on those places & sights etc...

The "things to do" tips are a more general overview of places I have visited in Europe so far. I've been lucky enough up til now to have spent some time in Ireland, France, Austria, Czech Reuplic, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Croatia and Sweden but hope to visit so many more places in the future. I love the fact that all these relatively small countries have such rich and varied cultures and architecture/scenery to see and experience!
