We stayed in this hotel for 4days and 3 nights. The hotel overall was great except for the bathroom that needs to be refurbished as some of the tiles under the sink are stained which hurts the 4-star hotel image. Everything else was great though from the restaurant (Frascatti) to my favorite hangout which was the pool/jacuzzi area. The Tea Tree Spa was also worth a try but maybe a little expensive for budget travellers.
The hotel staff is composed of 3/4 Filipinos. That was a relief for people like me who don't know how to speak Chinese. The staff in general are very polite and friendly that they would go out of their way to give food, shopping and transpo tips. Be sure to ask for help.
The view from our room wasn't that attractive though as all there is to see are condo units of Macau residents with rusty window rods and laundy hanged outside on the windows. Some people may think that it's a part of culture immersion which is true but the experience could have been better if the view was nicer. But what can they do?
Room complimentary items: slippers, 2 bottles of water, tea, coffee, laudry bag, sugar and cream (a water boiler for guests who crave for hot drinks)
bathroom complimentary items: shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bath soap, razor, shower cap, toothrush and toothpaste, sanitary bag, cotton and cotton buds (towels are also provided)
The location of the hotel was a little off the main road where the big 5-star hotels are. Be sure to check out nearby hotels for sight seeing especially at night when the place basically dazzles with lights from stores, hotels and casinos.
Unique Qualities: 3 things: 1. The pool and Jacuzzi are great! 2. Loved the huge plasma TV 3. It's in the center of most tourist destinations (A-ma, Fisherman's wharf, Macau Tower and Senado Square)
