Our Travel History

I feel that I have been very fortunate to travel much of Australia both as a child and as an adult, I have been to all states, most capital cities and alot of the outback. Have had camping holidays, resort holidays, adventure holidays, shopping holidays and 4WD holidays. I think now we will focus on OS holidays and leave the remainder of Australia for our retirement! (so have a few years to wait)

As for overseas I have been to Europe twice once as an exchange student and once as a backpacker and about to go again, this time with my husband. We are getting quite excited about the trip and have done lots of planning using this site. My husband and I have also been on short holidays to Singapore and Bali. We both were hesitant to go to Bali due to perceiving it as a bit "kitch", but when we were offered free airfares, couldn't really say "no", we had an absolute ball and will, at some point, add some detail to the Bali bit of the page.

Next, I think we might head off to the USA and do a bit more of Asia.

Our work

I work at the Port Augusta Hospital in the community health setting, where we provide predominantly community based services across the age ranges. We also provide outreach services via Royal Flying Doctor Service to remote communities and also a couple of communities by road. We work very closely with Pika Wiya Health Service to continue to improve our services to Aboriginal people. I am lucky to work with a very dynamic group of people who are very committed to their customers and also manage to fit in a pretty vibrant social life while they are at it.

My husband works in the rail industry, you can best describe his job as a crash repairer for Locomotives, they do other things as well, but much easier to describe the above.
