Water Sports at Patong have actually been WARNED against in the hotel manuals-we mocked them at first, and haha the last laugh was on us!!!!
What happened was that we took the water scooters for an hour (did NOT check them as supposed to before taking them out) and came back like 5 mins past the hour-we were regular customers and were promised the extra 5 mins (oh yeah-IT IS A BIG DEAL!)
So anyway, these guys come running n yelling down at the beach (super rudely!) and find some paint mark on one of the scooters since they couldnt catch us about the time..end result-a ruined last day in Phuket, haggling with these dudes, meeting the cops and blah

At Least Do This: Please check the scooters in advance!!!!
And be wary anyway! We were told this happens often-and everyones in league with everyone!

Well, its really not that severe...hehe..but dotted along the island are snake farms which are supposed to be astounding! If you ask, i'm sure a willing tuk-tuk guy will take you into one of them. Here, 1-2 trained guys will do a little something with the snakes, yes it makes an interesting show-for just about 5 of the 15-20mins it lasts, and yes you walk outta there some baht poorer...! Honestly, its worth a skip...nothing spectacular to see...walk on!
