Poona(Pune) is this calm city.One of the developing cities of India,Pune now plays host to lots of foreigners and students.The Osho Ashram is world renowned and most foreigners come for the purpose of learning the Osho way of life.
Besides this,Pune has a strong history.Home to the Marathas(an important dynasty) and the Peshwas,and later taken over by the British-this place is a fusion of culture!
Food in Pune is quite varied,considering quite a few foreigners have settled here,opened restaurants or stores even.Experiment!
If one's looking to attain peace,then this place is for you!However,if you're the fast-paced type,don't expect too much here!!:) The best time to visit Pune is between November to February-pleasant weather!
