At Kuala Lumpur International Airport

Warm welcome to Hopang's 39 travel pages from 38 countries visited so far including a travel page on Europe!

INTRODUCTION

Hopang is the name of a constitutional township at Kunlong district in the state of Shan in Burma as well as the name of a small town in China. It is also the name of a popular menu or dish in South Korea. Hopang literally means "easy to let go or release" in Malaysian Hokkien (Fukien or Fujian) and Malaysian Hainanese (Hainan) dialects. We are very proud to use the member name "hopang" at our Virtual Tourist homepage. It is the combination of our family names "ho" and "pang". We are Asians, Malaysian Chinese to be precise. We were born in Malaysia and are now happily living and working in Sweden.

We have travelled to some 38 countries around half the globe across several continents. Most of these countries are located within the boundaries of Asia, Middle East, Europe, Australia and Oceania regions. We shall not rest on our laurels. We intend to "conquer" the rest of the world sooner rather than later!

We would like to venture into the United States of America, Canada, Greenland, Central America and South America especially Brazil and Peru one day. Our other dreamed destinations and countries include South Africa and some central African countries including the Safari. A round the world trip and a cruise to the Caribbeans from the United States of America are very much on our mind.

Australia Group Tour Photo

We would like to make as many friends throughout the world as possible. Nevertheless if you add us to your friends list, we will add you to our friends list as well.

The joint-photographs (the first photograph on the left) were taken at departure hall of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on separate occasions with some of our family members before boarding our flights for overseas vacations.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport is located approximately halfway between Kuala Lumpur, the beautiful capital city of Malaysia and Melaka (used to be called "Malacca" in good old days), a lovely quiet historic city where we used to reside.

South Korea Group Tour Photo

The rest of the photographs on the left depict some of our favourite group tour snapshots taken around the world. We love guided group package tours! However most of these group tour photographs were taken in Asia and Oceanic regions.

For your information group photographs are almost never taken on guided group tours arranged by European travel agents.

  Hi Norman, It is still very cold in Sweden in the middle of March, minus 10 degrees early in the morning and minus 3 in the afternoon. Spring has not arrived in Sweden yet. It looks like we still have to wait for a couple of weeks! Best regards from Sweden.~ho & pang
