Bilbao and San Sebastian are perfectly complimentary cities and well worth a visit, albeit just for a weekend away for us Northern Europeans. The memorable old town districts in both towns, the amazingly beautiful Museo Guggenheim in Bilbao, the lovely beach at San Sebastian and the culinary delights of tapas make the Basque Region of Spain a wonderful alternative to the Costa del Sol or even Barcelona. |
