I visited Amman during the Holy Month of Ramadan so there was little life during the day. Amman is a whitewashed low-rise hilly town with an impressive citadel and Grand Mosque. Whilst there may be many beauties in Amman, the rest of the country is far more appealing |
| | Petra The Rose City cannot be described in words. Neither does any photograph do it justice. One must go and experience the humility the sheer magnificence imposes. Spend at least two days. Definitely climb up to the Monastery |
| | Dead Sea This amazing quirk of nature, a lake so saline, that a person can not sink, has given rise to some very luxurious spa-hotels on the north-eastern coast of the Dead Sea. There is no other notable accomodation. Spending a few days on the Dead Sea is a costly, yet worthwhile experience. Nothing is more relaxing than laying in the sea and watching the sun set over Hebron. |
