So much to do and see

Davao is a family destination that will not burn your pockets. Lots of opportunities for outdoor activities (swimming, ziplining, whitewater rafting, wakeboarding, hiking, golf). It is home to the monkey-eating eagle. With a typhoon-free weather, fresh seafood and fruits are available year round.

You can be at the beach in the morning and in the mountains in the afternoon. The Bukidnon plateau is just 2 hours drive away.

For mountain climbers, Davao can be your gateway to Mt. Apo, the Philippines' tallest peak.

Davao is multi-ethnic and is a convergence point of different cultures. The Davao Ethnological Museum in Insular Village showcases the richness of Davao's culture and traditions. The Kadayawan festival is celebrated on the third week of August.

Food is fresh in Davao and cheaper than most metropolitan cities in the Philippines. Davao is a fruit bowl. Much attention has been directed to durian - but let's face it, with durian, you either like it or you hate it. There are many other fruits that Davao is known for which are less exotic - like mangosteen and pomelo.

Quality medical facilities (Davao Doctors Hospital, San Pedro Hospital). And it has one of the lowest crime rates among the cities in the country.
