You will see quite a bit of native wildlife in Australia if you are venturing out of the cities... I have managed to see wild kangaroos, emus, wombats, goannas, wallabies and koalas among other things... Just be careful though when you see these animals...they could hurt you if you get too close.

Sun burn...

You are more than likely to get sun burnt in Australia if you don't protect yourself... Most sun burn happens in the summer months (December to February) but mainly because that's when the most skin is showing. ;) But you could still burn in the winter months too.

Be sure to cover yourself in sunscreen (preferably 15+ or 30+), wear a hat, sunglasses and long sleeves if possible (haha...yeah I know, most people come to Australia for the sun and don't want to cover up)...

At least try to stay out of the sun for the hottest hours, between about 11 am and 3 pm...that is when the sun will burn you the quickest...

Creepy Crawlies...

Most likely you have heard that Australia has lots of creepy crawlies...deadly spiders and snakes etc...

Luckily not so many people at all ever die from these things... You are more likely to be hit by a car or fall off a cliff than be bitten by a 'deadly creature' in Australia. :)

Take the necessary precautions though, don't go playing with snakes or spiders and watch out if you're collecting wood for a camp fire etc. Afterall, I'm still alive and never been bitten... :) You will be fine too! :)
