Finally...I get to visit... I have loved Neuschwanstein Castle ever since I first saw it in a photo many years ago... It was my dream to visit it some day although I always doubted I would ever get there...
Finally in 2000 when we went backpacking around Europe we made the trip from Munich to Fussen and out to the magical castle. :) It didn't let me down in real life either...it was just as amazing - or even more so - in real life!
We took a horse & cart up to the top of the castle entrance and after the tour we walked around the area a fair bit then back down the hill. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best but everything was still gorgeous. :) |
