| Where's Wally?! (we're in there somewhere) |
My boyfriend and I visited Hong Kong in July/August 1999. My Korean friend Hyeran invited us to meet her there for a short holiday since it was kind of 'half way' for us both so we decided "why not!!?" :) We only spent a week in Hong Kong and stayed in a nice hotel called the Marco Polo in Kowloon. Neither of us had ever been overseas before so it was all new and exciting for us both! I think Hong Kong was a great place to start though. It is so very different to Australia in almost every way!! Our trip to Hong Kong made us want to travel more so that's when we started planning our trip to Europe! :) We could have visited Hong Kong again on our way over to Europe but we decided it would be better to visit another country...so instead we stopped off in Singapore... I'm sure we will go back to Hong Kong some day though... |

Homanded Tue Jun 6, 2006 02:08 UTC Your Hong Kong tips are great! We're going for a 2nd time next year. Thoroughly enjoyed them. | Harald&Wendy.au Sun Feb 19, 2006 02:51 UTC For an Aussie I can't believe your comment about Chinese tea with a meal. What do you expect: Coke or a milkshake? When in Rome... | Vita500 Sun Jan 15, 2006 02:03 UTC Seems lik you managed to see a lot during your one week. Make sure to come back one day soon. HK changed a lot since 99 and it's such a fabulous place to be. Since you have a Korean friend: any plans to visit Korea yet? Cheers, Robert | JetlagCity Thu Jun 2, 2005 18:39 UTC What a fabulous place to go for your first trip abroad! Really enjoyed your colorful photos. |
