We only got to spend a few short days in London in 2000 and most of that time was spent indoors because of the terrible weather (supposedly it isn't always like it was then)... ;)
We were lucky to get to London because of a big storm which cut down the Eurostar and flights etc...we were the last Eurostar train to leave from Paris so that was good for us...until we got stuck for a few hours in the train station in London because of broken down trains...argghh! We had planned to stay with a penfriend of mine at Bishops Stortford but instead we stayed with friends in Chiswick because had limited trains/tube to use...
We visited London again in 2005 and we had some wonderful weather (although it was still overcast)... We only spent one day in the city centre and the rest of the time with our friends in Stevenage and Chiswick. |
