We spent some time looking around Luxor and the Valley of the Kings on our honeymoon... We found the people of Luxor to be a lot less pushy at the markets and they had a great sense of humour. There is so much to see and do in the area we really could have spent longer there.
We took a boat from Aswan to Luxor and then a night train from Luxor to Cairo...
While on our honeymoon we also visited Cairo, Dahab, Aswan, Bangkok, River Kwai, London, Hawaii and
New York City.

The real question is whether the world needed a McDonald's in Luxor in the first place. Ugh.
Ohh yes ,Its very good view! I wish every McDonalds can have it:)
Went on 29th May 2007, tough meat but good service. Always choose veal in Egypt,even the chicken can be tough!
Sometimes those McD are ok when abroad, and they normally have okish toilets too :)
that's ironic.. one of my favorite pictures i took in Rome is sitting outside the mcdonalds which faces the entrance to the Roman Pantheon..
Its good to know McDonald's is good for something! Cheers!
I wouldn't normally head for McD's but the one in Luxor looks like a 'must-see' - what a great tip!
I think all the guides tell everyone that Hatchepshut is like "hot-chicken-soup" or "hat-cheap-suit". Or maybe we got the same guide!!! Great pic and tips!!.
There was a McDonald's in Luxor and I missed it! And a great view to boot. Splendid page.
