My second visit to Adelaide was in April 2001 for a friends wedding. We only spent three nights in Adelaide but we loved it there.
Adelaide is a city of around 1,000,000 people and it's full of parks and gardens. The city is very neat & tidy and there doesn't seem to be problems with traffic and the usual things of a big city.
Our only 'problem' with Adelaide was that because we were there over the Easter weekend EVERYTHING was closed! We even had trouble finding restaurants and cafes... There were hardly any people around too which was a little strange... ;)

Diceman_ Sun Aug 5, 2007 20:46 UTC Interesting shot of Glenelg Beach. Easter is a strange time of year, all the shops (including supermarkets) are closed on other public holidays as well. | VdV Sat Oct 2, 2004 02:50 UTC Too bad the city was a bit "deserted" when you visited. I visited Adelaide in Nov. 2001 and absolutely loved it. Nice museums, loved the tram ride to Glenelg (great sunset photo you took!) Had some good food, too. You should go back and try again! | dmirebella Wed Sep 1, 2004 15:37 UTC The building is the post office Sherie :-) .... hope you had a go at Adelaide's infamous pie floater !! | PetraG Wed Oct 1, 2003 11:54 UTC Nice page and great pictures again. I wished I could take you with me on my own holidays to take my pictures ;) |
