Me about to land after my first sky dive...

I went static line sky diving in Forbes in September and November 2002! This page isn't much of a tourist page yet since I haven't done much else in Forbes but I wanted to put my pics up here for some friends and everyone else to see. :) We've been back to Forbes a few extra times to have our friends do jumps as well...and we'll keep going back until we've gone through everyone we can. ;)

I'll be sure to add more touristy info if I come across anything on my future sky diving trips...

My first skydiving experience was amazing! I was so very very scared but I did it and now I am so proud of myself! :)

My second 'jump' was even better than the first...very scary still but so much fun!! :) I recommend everyone to give it a go...I'm scared of heights and planes so if I can do it then anyone can. ;)

Luckily Forbes is only 2.5 hours drive north-west of Wagga so I can go again as often as I want... :) It's a fun place to spend some time with my friends from other cities and catching up with them.

Forbes is a true country town...it has a population of about 8,500 people. The people who I have come across in Forbes are all very friendly too...

Pros and Cons

Pros:Friendly, safe, easy going place...
Cons:Far away from most places and it's fairly small...
In a nutshell:Worth the visit, even if you're just going to jump out of a plane!

Oh, Sherie, these pictures are so great, but so scary. You know me and my 'love' for heights ;=) Every time I think about you and that you actually went sky diving, I think of you as one of the bravest people I know!!!

I've never sky dived but i think it would be sooo much fun too!!!.....I dont know if i'd have the guts to jump haha! But one day...

I think I will leave that to you dare devils.. lol... My son did this in Hervey Bay. On the other hand, if one ever needs a facelift.. this sure is a cheap way to get one.. LOL....

Hey you are braver than I for doing it solo.. but what a buzz. I too didn't remember a lot of the free fall part... the noise was deafening..lol Good for you doing it again!

You can sky dive but can't stand on the edge of the Blue Mountains?? You'd have to throw me out of the plane! LOL Great Page!
