Longtail Boat Trip

Almost definitely you will go on a long tailed boat trip while in Kanchanaburi...they are everywhere! We didn't meet a single person who hadn't been on the River Kwai in a long tailed boat while we were there. ;) It is a fun trip (although the engine can be loud) and you get to see some of the beautiful scenery along the River Kwai...

Elephant Ride

We took an elephant ride as part of a day tour...it was a great experience that I recommend to anyone and everyone. It was so much fun! The elephants are so gentle and very stable. They are gorgeous animals and as far as we could see, they looked like they were very well treated...

We also got to sit up on the elephants head/neck for part of the ride, it was a bit scary going down a steep hill but fun! :)

Train Ride

We took a train ride along the River Kwai to Kanchanaburi... We didn't go on the Hellfire Pass section (that's not possible) but the part we did go on was part of the Death Railway. We saw some beautiful scenery along the way...
