Oberstaufen is a smaller town with about 6000 inhabitants situated at the border of the Alps.
The region is called Allgäu and belongs the Swabian part of Bavaria.
The town is a quite wellknown holiday spot in Germany. It lies about 30 km away from Oberstdorf to the East and also about 30 km from the lake of Constance to the West.

- Pros:beautiful surroundings, lot of possibilities for sports (hiking, skiing, mountain tours)
- Cons:not the place for people who are into a vibrant night life
