The Historia Hotel is located between Blue Mosquee and the Marmara see. It's very well located.
A small hotel, clean, our room was very large.
The only inconvenient is that the train passes very near the hotel, but in fact we didn't hear it too much, because in fact we weren't often in the room, and because it's not very noisy.

I paid for this hotel 55 euros / night for a double room with breakfast.

Unique Qualities: - Very nice place, in a street with old ottoman houses in wood.

My girlfriend and I passed 4 nights in this hotel.
It's a simple but confortable one, clean, and very very well located, 2 minutes walk from Hagia Sophia, that you can see from the terrace where the breakfast is served. You have also an unique view on the Marmara see.

This hotel is little (10 rooms) and so you can meet the manager very easily, in fact he is ALWAYS here, anytime you arrive. And he is very friendly, gives good advices (gives the name of good places, not the name of places where he has friends or a cousin).

In fact, you have more the impression to be in a kind of guesthouse.

I would say that if you look for a place not too expensive, the peninsula is very good for value.
