The best German Restaurant in the Southwest In the little suburban town on the way through Cortez to Telluride there is a place called Dolores. On this road (145) on the left hand side of the road just before you exit town heading north. Or just on the right as you enter town headed south to Cortez, you will find a little German restaurant and bakery that is family owned and operated with an herb garden out back. As far as I can tell this is the best German meal you can have west of St. Louis. Made me wish my forefathers had never left.

As I was searching for the address I found out they may be selling it. This would be a huge loss if the recipes went away. Let's face it Dolores isn't a hot bed of economic activity. |
