"STEPS TO EVEREST" Himalayas by Rhysm

The Challenge to summit Mount Everest in 2010 and raise £100,000 for Charity. To mark the beginning of my challenge, I took a trip to Nepal and trekked to Everest Base Camp at an altitude of 5,364m (17,600ft) in May of 2008. I firstly arrived in Kathmandu on the morning of the 8th May and made my way into Thamel to the office of The Great Adventure Trek & Expedition Co. Here I arranged my flight to Lukla which is the gateway into the Sagamartham National Park Everest Region, and also arranged my guide for the 16 day trek , a guy names Ang Dendi Sherpa who is also a mountaineering guide.
