Being very much a country girl I couldn't live in Brisbane for the rest of my life but am quite happy to have weekend visits to hit the shops and see friends and relatives.
Lived here for a few years after I finished school. As far as cities go it is quite nice and busy and easy to get around. People are generally friendly but not like country people!
It is a great base for explore the Sunshine Coast (hour or so north) and the Gold Coast (hour or so south) and Toowoomba (hour or so West!). |

Nice tips on Brisbane. I visited a few years ago. Explored the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, but did not get too far inland. Hopefully I will make it back someday... | cnango Wed Dec 3, 2008 23:37 UTC
